Some of you will maybe be familiar with the term land-based and some of you will not. Once the world of land-based engineering is explained to you, you will see it all around you and will be astounded by the huge reach it has.
Land-based engineering is everything to do with the manufacture and maintenance of all the equipment that is required to work on the land, whether that be for:
- Agriculture – Tractors, telehandlers, harvesting, spraying, drilling, and planting machinery
- Forestry – Forests need equipment to keep them maintained, so this could be from huge tree-felling equipment down to the humble but mighty chainsaw
- Turf Care and Amenities – this covers machinery from cutting the finest greens on the world’s top golf courses, to the ride on or even robotic lawn mowers used by your local council in your parks and recreation areas; it makes cutting the lawn and tending the garden at home easier.
